Uniform

School Uniform

Children should wear a navy sweatshirt and white polo-shirt with dark grey, navy or black trousers or skirts.  Sweatshirts, polo-shirts and other items incorporating the school logo can be bought via the PTA.  Order forms are available from the school office.  Shoes should be in dark colours with sensible heels.  Trainers should only be worn in PE.  Reception and Year One children are required to keep a pair of wellies at school.

In summer the girls may wear lightweight gingham dresses in blue and the boys

may wear grey shorts.

Please assist us by clearly labelling items of clothing with your child's name to make it easy for us to identify and return lost items of clothing.  Please make sure coats are also named and have a loop so they can be easily hung up in the cloakroom.

PE Clothing

Plain shorts and a plain t-shirt, suitable for sports activities, are required.   Plimsolls are needed for indoor PE and trainers for outdoor PE. For outdoor games in cold weather jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt would be useful. Please make sure your child's PE kit is kept in a robust and named draw-string bag. Please avoid using large rucksacks as we have limited cloakroom space.

Jewellery and Money

The wearing of jewellery is strictly not allowed at school. The only exception is small stud earrings for those with pierced ears. However, these must be removed by the child for PE lessons and swimming. Rings, earrings, and necklaces can be the cause of serious injuries if caught accidentally on equipment or by other children.  If your child attends school wearing an item of jewellery they will be requested to remove it and responsibility for its safekeeping will rest with your child.  Please only allow your child to bring money into school if they have been asked to do so for a specific purpose.

Swimming

Key stage two children attend swimming lessons at Craven Swimming Pool in Skipton.  They require a swimming costume or trunks, a towel and a suitable bag to keep them in.  The PTA have very kindly subsidised the cost of transport, lesson costs and pool hire.  Parents are asked for a voluntary contribution for the outstanding balance.

Lost Property

A large lost property box is kept in the shared area.  If your child loses anything please look in the lost property box.
